Project Coordinator - Capital Projects and Unit Renovations

Overview:

Blackfin Real Estate Investors is seeking a Project Coordinator to help oversee the design, budget and execution of multifamily unit renovations and capital improvements to include amenity spaces deferred maintenance projects. This position will report to the Manager of Capital Projects and work closely with Blackfin project managers.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Produce and manage purchase orders for the delivery of materials

  • Work with project management team to ensure orders are placed on time to support forecasted demand and unit projected completion dates

  • Review vendor quotes for accuracy

  • Research and resolve aging purchase orders and non-invoiced orders as necessary

  • Reconcile budget in project management software

  • Coordinate with vendors on project pipelines, selection of materials, pricing and finish schedules

  • Track and monitor unit renovations to ensure units are being completed on time and within budget

  • Prepare and evaluate unit price comparison analyses

  • Review unit budgets to identify price overages and recommend solutions

  • Attend pre-construction, design and project update meetings

  • Assist in procuring materials for indoor and outdoor amenity renovations

  • Assist in preparing submittals for design projects

  • Participate in monthly calls with construction team for project status updates

  • Assist in preparing capital reports as well as other reporting duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of real estate, construction management or related field experience preferred

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets

  • Experience with Project Management software preferred

  • Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and commitment to meeting deadlines.

  • Problem-solver, self-motivated, independent with ability to multi-task.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
