Project Accountant

​

We are seeking a Project Accountant to join our growing team. Reporting directly to our Assistant Controller, the Project Accountant will primarily assist the accounting and construction teams with monthly reporting procedures, variance explanations, and general ledger maintenance.  

 

Job Duties: 

  • Maintain general ledger; record and document company financial transactions 

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations for multiple entities 

  • Prepare monthly journal entries and construction draws for multiple entities  

  • Maintain and prepare monthly job cost reports and reconciliations  

  • Prepare and maintain monthly asset management fees  

  • Effectively communicate with Project Managers (PMs) regarding invoices approval 

  • Perform budget to actual monthly financial analysis 

  • Review data to ensure that proper procedures are being followed 

  • Assist on year-end tax returns, 1099 processing, and annual audit  

  • Perform other duties and assignments as required by management

Skills and Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or real estate related 

  • 1 year of accounting experience  

  • Construction accounting and reporting experience preferred 

  • Understanding of GAAP  

  • Proficient in Quickbooks and Microsoft Suite
