In June 2021, Blackfin acquired Palmilla 228, a 1981 vintage, 228-unit, affordable (LIHTC) community located in Charleston, SC. The property is strategically located near Old Town Charleston (4 miles) and is a 10-minute walk from a major retail intersection that includes a Harris Teeter, Whole Foods, Barnes and Noble, and many fast-casual retailers. The location provides access to major regional thoroughfares and makes North Charleston, The Port of Charleston and Old Town Charleston easily commutable with substantial employment flexibility. In 2016, the property was improved with a clubhouse containing a leasing center, fitness facility, and pool area with a grilling station and pergola.
